Default CEL with a P0449 code

HI all, got this code now running a '00 1500 5.3 Silverado. Any help to fix this problem would be great...my Haynes manual is not of much use. Pretty sure it has something to do with the vent valve SOLENOID, perhaps a wiring problem. Any help would be great. Also, where is this thing located?? The manual says near the gas tank, but mine appears to be on the inside drivers side rail pretty much right under the door. Is this it? No wires appear broken or cut, etc. Thank you!

P0449indicates the PCM is not seeing the voltageitexpects. The problem could be the solenoid, wiring, or the PCM.

My experience is it's usually a wiring issue (I find this our after replacing the part [:@]) YMMV

Sorry, I haven't had this problem with the truck. I dealt with it on my son's Sunfire. On that car, it was near the gas tank, but I don't know where it is on the Silverado.
