cheap upgrades

Hey i got a 97 chevy 1500 350 5.7. I was wondering what would be the best ways to get my truck faster for under 200 bucks

I'd say an Airaid Jr intake they cost bout $150 or an underdrive pulley for bout $60.

Have you installed the underdrive pulley? If so how much a horsepower difference did you get and did it mess with your charging system?

trans dapt tbs, look up the ultimate free horsepower mod thread, K&N or equivalent filter...

I like the Airaid Jr. I have one and i like it. And i was about 150 like ito said. The others have good ideas to. A TBS or a just the filter. you could probley get both for under 200.

I haven't yet.A buddy of mine installed one his 5.3 Sierra we noticed a difference in his truck,it was probably at least 10hp it didn't affect his charging system at all.

I would say a programmer or a tune. After that a K&N air filter. Those would be the best bang for the buck on a stock truck. Will be more than $200 but not by much.
