Default chevy truck

i have a 2000 chevy k2500 series silverado with a 5.7 liter vortec. how do u set the distributor timing? help quickly plz

You have to have a scan tool. Set base timing to 1 to 2 degree + or -
Just curious , did you change dist or something else.

replaced passanger side head and put a new distributor in it runs but acts like the driver side is not firing starts fine cold but hard to start when hot
