The other shuff might work but I never heard of it. I would just get the maf cleaner from Advance Auto here is what I get. You might want to get 2 cans I used a crap load to clean out the TB.

RE: Cleaning a descreened MAF

Well I took the descreened MAF out and put my screened one back in after running it a few months. Running the descreened one did not hurt my MPG for say after I got through playing with it. My truck did not seem to be more responsive for say, but the gas pedal felt lighter? That is the only way I can describe it. And after reinstalling the screened MAFthe pedal felt more heavy... like the truck felt more ballsie... Anyhow I am back to running this one till I decide to switch it again. Has anyone else felt any thing like I am describing? Or has anyone reinstalled a screened MAF and running their trucks with a descreened MAF?

Not being a jerk here but this has been discussed a LOT and the one thing that seems to keep getting overlooked is that it can throw your A/F off. You could be running lean without knowing it and cause serious damage. It doesn't happen a lot but it has happened.

Know you are not being a jerk Damn Yankee. Like I said I reinstalled my screened MAF. I took everyones advice and experimented. Now I am done and I went back to the screened 1 like I said. The only other thing I noticed besides the light pedal was that before I reinstalled the screened MAF my idle seemed to be idling a bit lower likethe idlewas too low.

RE: Cleaning a descreened MAF

Yeah I noticed without a tune that my truck would knock a little under a load with the MAF screen removed. But with the tune it allows me to increase the fuel trims at lower rpms which gives it a good bit of low end torque.
