OK, You guy's were right on! I disconnected the one cig lighter(power out put)that was bad and replaced the 15 amp fuse. Scanner linked first try and I pulled the code P0403 (exhaust recirculation control circut). Re-set the code and now, will wait to see if it comes back. Still have to replace the cig lighter to get the aux. power outlets to work. Thanks for your help guy's. I would not have been able to get it done otherwise. Much appreciated! :) BTW my truck 4.3 has 185k on it and I commute 100 miles a day with no complaints.

Alright man good deal! That code is for your EGR. If it comes back on then check the wires to the valve. Or the valve may be stuck closed or open.

I called NAPA for a quote for the EGR valve, they told me that it was not available but they did have the gasket . Auto zone told me that the vehicle was not equipped with EGR. So... I called the Chevrolet dealer and got the same answer of vehicle w/4.3 not equipped with that part.
Any suggestions? P0430 catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 2. Thanks:) |
Ok now earlier you put p0403. So now its p0430? That means an O2 sensor behind the cat is throwing a code for a possible bad catalytic converter on the passenger side.
