Default Configuring Remote Lock Fobs

When I traded in my Colorado and got my Silverado I kept the original remote lock fobs. They were useless with the Colorado since I had an aftermarket remote start installed and the orginals didn't work with the new remote start system.

I tried to have the Sliverado system register the Colorado fobs without success. I followed the instructions in the user manual to the "T." They look very similar to the Silverado fob but I guess they have made it so you cannot use them in other vehicles. Anyone have any success doing this?

Yeah, different enough I guess. It sure would have been nice to have two additional fobs to fall back on.

Maybe I can sell them for a couple of bucks on my old Colorado forum ($ mostly to cover postage and a couple of beers). I don't remember the Colorado having an owner enabled matching capability though.
