I have an 03 silverado i am replacing the lower control arm bushings.. the new ones are a little bit shorter than gap it must fill in the control arm (length wise... not girth wise) i was planning on using a shop press...will it work? any tips?? thanks very much!!

 

Absolutely NOT! That is a huge safety issue...that would mean the arms are not supported properly.
Order the correct ones for the truck.
