corvette servo???...help me understand?!

This is the 2-4 servo which will help the 1-2 and 2-3 shift. With this servo alone u will notice a much better acceleration jump in shifting. You can actually knock off bout .3 of a second in a quarter mile time.

Here's a link to one on ebay:

I'm really intrigued. Thanks for the videos above! Anyone have pix of the process while the tranny is still on the truck?

No problem. If u have any more questions bout the whole process, let me know. The easiest thing to do is jack up the passenger side with a floor jack. This will keep the fluid pushed away from the servo so when you take it out, maybe a few drops of fluid will run but nothing major at all that will get in your eyes. Wear safety glasses in case. But if you choose to have a tranny shop do it, they will charge anywhere from 25 to 75 dollars. If you have patience then save the money and do it urself. It is a tight fit between the servo and the body but its doable.

I have a street driven '04 that is primarily a work/towing truck. Stock shifts are too soft for my tastes, mushy even, especially when driving normally. Will the Corvette servo fix this, or make them too harsh? I am planning a tune from BlackBear and I know that the shifts can be fixed that way, so is the servo recommended in addition to a tune or not? I'm guessing that BlackBear can tune around the servo if they know about it? RT

Do the servo and see how u like it. The servo itself will increase performance a lot. And it mainly works on throttle position. If u are cruising then it wont shift hard. But the more throttle u put down the stiffer the shift. Then when u tune it, get about 50% TM taken off. I think that is perfect. There are bigger servos so dont think this one will make your drivetrain snap.
