Question Custom computer tunes

I am familiar with Superchips, Hypertech, etc. and have heard of getting a custom tune but have no idea who to contact, how the process works, gains I can expect to see / feel, cost, etc.

I have a 2007 GMC Sierra with the 6.0 liter motor. I would greatly appreciate any assistance / insight anybody can provide.

Thanks,

Brian

#1 is Nelson Performance http://www.nelsonperformance.com/

Ive heard good things about Black Bear http://www.blackbearperformance.com/

I have a tune from Wait 4 Me Performance and it is amazing and a little cheaper than the others http://www.wait4meperformance.com/

RXSteven,

Thank you for your input. I checked out Nelson and Wait4meperformance they both sound great. I will call them both tomorrow to get details. I would really like to have much much quicker throttle response as now there is a very long delay and would also like to have traction control delete, among other things - quicker shifts, higher rpm's, etc. Thank you again for your help.

Sincerely,

Brian Gaddis

RXSteven,

What sort of benefits did you notice from wait4meperformance?

I did a live tune because I was near by at the time. I wanted just performance and that's what I got! I didn't lose much if any MPG"s but lets just say I can chirp them wile hitting third. They are cool as hell when you talk to them! I think its his wife on the phone most the time but they know there ****. You get that right off the bat! Call them up they can tell you anything you want to know. But the only thing I can tell you is it was the best thing I ever did for my truck!!!!!

RXSteven,

Sweeeeeeet, you said exactly what I was hoping to hear. Thank you so much for your response. I will call them today and get the run down. I am thinking about doing the upgraded injectors, cam and tune.

Just curious, how much of the torque management did you have taken out? I would really like to have as much control of the truck as possible.

Thanks,

Brian

RXSteven,

Cool. I will do the same. Thanks for your input. When I get it done I will post my results after having a little "drive time."

Thanks,

Brian
