I've got the high performance shelf tune installed on my truck. Would a custom tune do much more?

 

How much difference did you notice? Did it help out a lot with off the line power?

 

hell yeah. It took 2 seconds off my 0-60

 

Did you actually calculate your 0-60 or does it just feel that good? I can't wait till I can afford to get a Predator programmer.

 

i calculated it. it actually took off a little more than 2. but one thing i've noticed is that when you're drivin between 30 and 60 and youpunch the gas it gears down really fast and glues you to the seat.

 

 

Do you actually get better mpg with the predator tuner, cause they say you do but im not to sure about that

 

You can have better performance with better gas mileage, or best performance with less gas mileage. I never noticed too much of a loss with the "***** to the wall" type tune. It would actually be wise to do a custome tune via Predator at a shop that has a dyno. Have them do it for 90+ octane and despite the higher price for higher octane, your mpg will increase moreso than a 87 tune.

 

I just filled up yesterday after having the performance tune (w/ 93 octane) installed. The gas milage is still the same as stock, 15.8 mpg.

 

would a custom tune give you more power than the high performance shelf tune?
