Dad's 2005 Silverado has not been run since last summer-- any recomended precautions?
My dad has a 2005 Chevy 2500 truck with a camper that has been parked since last summer. He's been out of state since then so last summer was the last time it was running. Are there any precautions to do before starting it like treating the fuel or draining it if that's even possible? Thanks.

Everything should be fine with the fuel,if the truck sets in the really cold climate in the winter yearly i would recommend fuel stabilizer.you can top off the tank and ad injecter cleaner to the tank just incase the gas broke down a little.that will keep the injectors from biulding up any gum.you also may need a jump box for the battery.and lastly i dont drive my truck to much in the winter unless the roads are nice so during the winter months i can go 1000miles in 8 to 9 months without oil change, but i do one anyway when it warms up.you might think of an oil change to,inside the moter can condense like a soda can does in the summer where you can get water mixed with your oil.

I've been reading forums on fuel stabilizers and I see a lot of discussions regarding Sea Foam, Amsoil, Techron, Stabil to name what seems like the most popular. Is there a stabilizer and cleaner you could recomend?
