Dead battery/blower on

Dead battery/blower on
I went out to get my snow brush out of my truck and the battery in the truck was stone dead. When I hooked up the charger the usual lights came on,dome hood, etc. Also the blower motor came on.No key in the ignition and the ignition was off.
I last used the truck two days ago and had no issues.
I cycled the switch from 3 where it was when I shut it off to 5 and then down to off and the fan shut off.I know the fan wasnt running when I parked the truck.I have had an issue with the fan only running on 3,4&5.I am going to look into a new switch and probably a blower resistor.Any other suggestions?

RE: Dead battery/blower on
I replaced the resistor today and got the fan speeds back. The plug was not damaged. We'll see if the other issue happens again.I hope it doesnt as the fan switch control isnt cheap. Thanks for the help.
