I descreen my MAF yesterday (yes ...I was very careful not to hit the wires) ...it was very easy to do BTW.

This morning when I punched it when I got on the freeway, I noticed a slight "whistleing" sound that wasn't there before.I checked all my connections and made sure everything was tight.

Other than the noise, it's running really good.

 

Do you have a tbspacer? I cant remember if you have put one on.

No, I don't have the TBS yet ....I was going to do thethrottle bodybypass first before I do that.I understand it will make a world of difference (as in saving my knuckles) when installing it.

 

Or you can do them both at the same time. I have a whistle also so you should be fine. Is the whistle just when you drive or can you hear it all the time?

 

Only when I'm driving. How loud is the whistle from the TBS?

 

Well fine just steal my thunder. No whistle in mine after I descreened it. Check your connections around your air box, and the fender side of the air box. You may have knocked it loose.

 

I heard mine whistle after my tbspacer was installed so i dont know why yours would be.

 

I wouldn't worry about it either. If you had a loose end the check engine light would go off and it probably wouldn't idle. If there is even the tiniest air leak the ECU would go hay wire.
