Default Drag racing

Well I went to the drag strip close by tonight. The track is just 1/8 mile. It was the first time I took my truck to a legal race and I had a pretty good time nonetheless. My best RT was .523 and ET was 9.8 at 74 mph. My best 60 ft time was 2.324.

It's a truck, so I'm alright with the results. Especially the RT since it was near perfect. I'm seriously now considering getting a Black Bear tune since I now realize how much torque I loose with the torqe management shifting into 2nd. I had this 2010 Mustang GT beat until I hit 2nd gear, then it wasn't until right before the finish line that I had crept back up on him.

I'm curious to see what everyone else's times have been in the past so post up!

Isn't it great that these newer trucks can be used for work and play!!!! A buddy of mine has about your same set-up only his is a 5.3 and I can't believe all the cars and truck he beats out there. Some of those big bad diesels have even left with their tail between their legs. He has run a low 15 second quarter which isn't bad for a big ole crew cab truck!!! Have fun!

Not bad.
i ran last night a best of 9.72 @ 74.46 with a 60ft of 2.36. the truck was running a consisitant 9.75.

it was high 70's and humid.
the 295's are killing me.

I see what you mean about the tires. I have all terrain 265/65s that hurt me as well. I see that our 60ft times are really close and your custom tune HAS to be the biggest factor in you having a faster ET than mine. How much torque management did you have changed with the custom tune?

i removed 85%.

on stock tires from what ive read, i should be 9.6 or so with high 70's temp. my 295's put my effective gear ratio at about 3.73

need a good 60deg evening, i could probably hit 9.5's
