Default Driver side door pin

Hello,
I have what I think is a faulty front door pin. My radio plays until I open my driver side door and then the interior like comes on. Well, none of that happens periodically. I searched high and low for somekind of pin or switch. Can someone please tell me where it is located so I can change it out? I have a 2004 5.3l 6.6 ft extended cab.
Thanks,
Tom

From my research, it looks like the door jamb switch is part of the door latch assembly. Try fiddling with it and see if your interior lights turn on and off when the latch is open or closed. Chances are, either the pin bushings are sagging to the point that the latch doesn't fully open or close, or the latch its self isn't detecting the open/close signal. Your have a Driver's Door Module (DDM) that looks to see if the latch is open/closed and that's how it knows when to turn your interior lights on and off.

Thanks for the fast reply. I sprayed some engine degreaser and some electrical cleaner and operated the lock. That seemed to do the trick. If it acts up again, off to the parts store.

Thanks again,
Tom
