2000 Chevy 1500 4wdb would not pass State inspection Tx. e brake would not hold. Check cable adjuster no room for adjustment. So i replaced e brake shoes. still e brake does not hold. Lil history both rotors and calibers replace a few months ago. Any body been here

 

Yep, the cable stretches. I have used a small spacer to get some more life out of them, but the "proper" way is a new cable. I had zero issues with my spacer addition, but that was just my experience.
