End of my rope
I have a 1996 Silverado K1500 that is giving me fits. I rebuilt the motor 3 years ago and it ran great up until last year. About 6 months ago I noticed that it had a bad skip. The skip only happened after I had ran the truck for a bit then shut it off. After a restart and under little to no load it developed a bad skip and valve rattle. I have been using high octane fuel, ran injector cleaner, checked plugs and wires. I recently had a scan done and it indicated a bad camshaft sensor. Replaced rotor, cap, sensor, and button. Timing is correct and fuel pump and filter have been replaced. Also, compression is good in all cylinders. Any suggestions from the gurus would be greatly appreciated. This problem is driving me nuts
. Thanks in advance.
