Well today we rented a pressure test kit to checkout the coolant system. It did not come with an adapter to pressure up the system thru the reservoir so that was a bust. Lucky for us, it was a free rental and got my deposit back. We flushed the system, replaced the thermostat, and filled with the correct ratio of dex-cool and water. We made several test runs and the temp never went above the correct operating temp of 200 degrees. Ran fine with the AC on and it never spewed water out of the overflow when the the truck was turned off. Hope that was it, since we are not experiencing any more symtoms. Thanks for all your help. I'm sure I will be asking for future help.
