Been gone on vacation, so a late response but this is what I have found. A 3" will be fine, I have dual 2.5 in with x-pipe dual flowmasters, dual 2.5 out. low end torque sucks, but high end is amazing. I blew a diesel off the road from 50-85, but off theline it is a dog.

I have a flowmaster Dual exhaust setup with3 inch piping- i have more than enough torque- very good setup
