I have a 08 chevy with the 5.3L engine, crew cab short box. I want to put a dual exhaust out the back, don't care if it's true dual or not, and just wanted to know what u guys would recomend to go with

 

What ya looking for in a dual??? Deep Rumble, Snappy Loud,

 

I don't care much about sound, i do like the rumble though, but i more just like the look of a dual exhaust

 

Well that makes this much easier... You can basically do what ever you want under the truck in order to achieve that dual look out the back. It's all in the tips you buy. That's all everybody is gonna see.
Go with a Magnaflow Single in dual out, and keep it as forward as possible in order to achieve that thrush sound.

 

You can do what i did to my truck.
its not a true dual but its a single in dual out and it looks and sounds really nice for a 4.8

most people that hear it think i have a 5.3

this is the exact muffler i have on my truck . its surprising how small it it too

 

i would replace the stock muffler with a glasspack then y it off the back of that and do whatever you would like with your tips
