I prefer the old CJ-7 with the inline 6, from 78-86. Everything is simple, no computers. Mine is an 82' Renegade. It is not running right now ( no time to fix it) but I am going to try to get to it soon.

Hey guys, if you will please go back to the original post on this one. Me and Hunt got a little out of control and finally went to instant messenger.

Smoke one thing to remember when ur screwing around with all of this exhaust stuff is the oxygen sensors. There is one shortly after the catalytic converter that fine tunes the fuel mixture and if gets too strong of a signal sent to the computer it will set a hard code in the computer. Just be careful is all I am saying. I honestly wonder if there is much added benefit of going dual in and dual out of the muffler. I have this setup. I had a muffler shop set it up for me that way to go dual after the cat. Whether you go single in and dual out or dual in and dual out the end result is your truck will be able to breathe easier. I believe that this is the name of the game either which way.

I know what you are saying. I just think in the long run dual in dual out will be better for all the mods I am planning

smoke man im sorry i didnt answer this sooner, but i had the exact setup you want on my 03 silverado 5.3 ecsb...true duals!! it worked fine for me. i never threw a code. i didnt see major MPG increase, i think overall, it was almost 1 MPG intown, and like 1 and a half highway, but it sounded NASTY, i loved every minute of it, and i also had it dumped just behind the axle. i think you will love it if you get that setup!

Have you guys heard about Heart throb exhaust? I saw them on truck u yesterday and it sounded really nice. They said their suppose to be custom tuned to each vehicle. I'm thinking about looking into them. But wondering if you had any insight on them.

I apologize for being late on this was too! Easter Sunday and all! Anyway, smoke I don't think you will have a problem with your intended set up. Like BigTex said, the set up on his 03 was badass!! Benpfeil, the heart throb dual exhaust set up is pretty cheap. I knewa couple of guys who had them and they are made out of cheap material. However, the price isn't that bad. I have a custom dual exhaust set up on mine with 18" glasspacks and it sounds like a beast straight from HELL!! I love the sound, ask BigTex about it!!
