About how much would exhaust be on my truck 97 5.7. I was planning on getting single in dual out with chrome tips.

 

i got mine done just like that at midas for 225

 

Around here duals run about $250-$300 depending on the tips you get. Stainless steel tips are uber expensive. Chrome however are super cheap.

 

ok thanks ill see how much a local shop is and if midas is cheaper i might go there. I hope we are talking about the same midas here lol

 

Around where i live i got priced between $280 to $1000 out the door. So just be carefull of where you go and go by a 3 or 5 different places.

 

Around were im from that would run about 350-360 with stainless tips. As for crome im not sure because the shop that i brought my truck to did away with crome tips.

 

yeah i went to a local shop thats kinda small and they had the best deal by far. They blew midas and everyone out of the water pretty much.

 

You may want to consider a muffler swap that should get you to true duel exhaust like I did. If you look at the truck it should collect at the muffler. It was super cheap for me to go to duel exhaust. Like 250 bucks. That was with the two new Magnaflo mufflers.

 

i have a 5.7 and nothing sounds better than dual straight pipes after the cat. dont take the cat off cause the check engine light will appear and plus it dont make much of a difference. but my pipes aint obnoctioulsy loud they have a deep sound to it and i love it. but i paid 280$ for labor (of course) and the pipes with 4 inch stainless tips. and run them out the side not strait out the back.
