Martyn....what all is done to this trans am?? i dont see an LT1 350 without a power adder dropping 9.00s in the quarter??....not trying to raise any hairs... just wondering.There had to have been so much crap you did to the car. I mean it took me a 2 stage 250 shot on aprettystout 427 to drop 11s. given it was out of an S10 with traction problems.

1970 Ford Mach 1 - 351 with functioning hood scoop. Really moved and loved to drink gas. Along came gas wows, got rid of it. Worth something today!

Well, i had a few that went alright, but presently my newest addition is one of the slowest sportscars (in a straight line that is) i've ever owned- a 2006 mazda MX5 miata. Guess gas prices are getting to me lol. Here's the rest:

An 06 MX5 is slow? I was under the impression those were fairly peppy. Maybe you shoulda got an S2000 instead.

 

No, they are a little 2.0L 4-banger that does 0-60 inthe 7 second range. Even though it doesn't smoke the tires in the first couple gears, it's so small that it seems fast- if that makes any sense. It corners as good as anything and it's very easy to handle and predict with it's perfect 50/50 weight distribution, but all that aside, it's now my daily driver that breaks the 30mpg mark so i'm learning to like it more as i fill it up these days! Not to mention we finally got a few days here in Wi. were i could drop the top on it. I drive much closer to the speed limit now as this little car feels like 75mph when your going 60, it was the opposite in my goat and almost got me in trouble a few times. So due to it's size, the fun factor is very high and you can still stay within the popo's rules!
