Flashing Brake Indicator Light

Default Flashing Brake Indicator Light
I have a 1990 Sierra 4 x 4. What does it mean when the brake light in the instrument panel flashes? I know solid means the parking brake is on, but when released the light flashes. I suspect it is the ABS system. Any tips on what to look for are appreciated.

Have you looked in the "Owners Manual"? There should be a description of what the flashing light means.
