Please excuse what may seem a rather niave question.
I'm from the UK and am on my way for an extended stay in the US.

I am intending to buy a new Silverado 3500HD, have the truck bed taken off and have a custom flatbed installed so I can put my dog boxes on that. Dogbox design is 12' long.
Is there a legal limit to how long a flatbed can be?

A 12 foot bed probably shouldnt be a problem as long as you have the tail lights at the end. Have you thought about a trailer in stead it might be cheaper?
