Front end alignment..........with a tape measure??????
Ok so Im cheap..........lol but I need to get the front end of the burban aligned a little better than it is now. I know people do alignments with a tape alot. My question is how do you all do them? Should I pull the wheels and "load" the front end and measure from the rotors?.......Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

We had a guy that did alignment for us back in Florida without a machine. He left the tires on and used string and chalk lines on the tires. I am not sure his exact technique but it always came out right.

You can do it with tape. But you have to be on good level spot.
Get your steering wheel straight , have someone or someway to keep it there.
Measure up off of level surface , make a mark with chalk on your rims , front of rim and back of rim on back side. Then take reading on back , then front
Then do your adjusting on tie rods. You can check camber with a two foot level. That is to see if your tires are straight up and down, not leaning.
But if it was me i would take it too a shop.
