Default Front End Breather

So I walk out to my truck yesterday on my break to find oil all over the front driver's side wheel. The breather that comes from the front end is having oil come from it. Its all over the inner fender and all over my wheel. Anyone have an idea why?

No thoughts for me guys? I did fill the front end up during the warm spell we had when it was around 70 or 80 up here and now we're back to 20's so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I am assuming that you are talking about the front differential? Has the vent tube been moved in any way? Only time I experienced this was when I did an axle swap on another truck and I forgot to put the vent tube back where it should be! I should mention that the axle that I put in it was open which I am assuming yours was when the fluids were changed. Weather could be a factor never heard of that though. Did you just fill it up or swap fluids? I am wondering if you maybe overfilled it

Yes the front differental. I filled it because it was low and I filled it as the dealer told me to. It's always seemed to weep fluid since I bought it. And the breather has never been moved. I know the weather seems weird and I've never heard of it either but I'm just stabbing in the dark.

That's ok, just give me a call if you get stuck and I'll come and pull you out. That's all you need to know about 4WD!

You should get you an old S-10 4x4 to have some fun in. When I was in high school, good Lord that was a long time ago, I had a 93 S-10 Ext. Cab 4x4 4.3L. I had a 3" suspension lift and 33's. That damn truck was so much fun off-road!
