Default front end noise

I know what the intermediate shaft noise sounds like and i got used to it. but, today a clunking noise is coming from theleft front tire area. it increases and decreases with speed. any one have suggestions? it does it intermittently and especially when i am turning to the right. And it is audible from the exterior of the vehicle too.

thanks

Argon: maybe the grease in the intermediate shaft just recently settled at the bottom?

i was thinking that too. the noise does seem to go away under braking. i'll check it in the morning and let you know. I realize it is very hard to diagnose with out driving it and i thank you for your help so far.
I also thought the shock because it sounds the same as when i had a broken one on another car. but the question i have for you is would the truck still handle the same if it was broken?

also i have tire wear on the outside of my passenger front tire only maybe this will help in the diagnosis.

how should i check these parts out other than the obvious visual and shake it inspection?

if it goes away braking,I imagine the caliper is loose or a pad is loose in the caliper.......i'd bet on a loose/gone caliper bolt

i am an unbeliveable dumbass!

I was taking off the tire to check the caliper and found that last time i took the tire off, i only tightened 2 of the 6 lugs. needless to say, the noise is gone now that they are tight again.

thanks for your help.
