Front wheel seal

Default Front wheel seal

I am replacing the front wheel seal on my buddies 00 1500 2wd silverado and after taking off the 3 bolts in back I cant break the seal where the dust shield is any ideas, or am i missing something? Thanks

theres no axel, rear wheel drive, working on the front

you say its 2wd? if its 2wd, you have to pop the dust cap off the center of the rotor to expose a castle (axle nut) and cotter pin. THESE MUST BE REMOVED IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE ROTOR!!!

ok,my mistake..I thought we were talking 4wd for some reason./..\

yes,its just stuck...remove the 3 bolts out the back and your wheel speed sensor wire....

you say "seal"...I assume you mean the front hub??

Are you in a corrosion area?..I've really had to beat the snot out of some rusty ones
