Default not front pinion seal?

my front differential was leaking gear oil. so i took off my drive shaft and all and took the seal out.. well i go up to every auto parts store local and noone has the same seal, and they keep telling me that the book says i should have bearings... either way all 4 stores i went to tried to match it up for me none matching and the part number on the seal isnt showing up on their computers

I am assuming i have an aftermarket front differential or it was a swap Should this be the case how can i find out what front differential i have?

And if for some odd reason mine is stock and anyone else has had this situation and can help... I have an 01 silverado 1500 reg cab, shortbed stepside, z71
