Default fuel filter change on diesel

Good morning guys,
i just joined this site and have already found alot of useful info.I need some help on something though.I have owned Chevy trucks for 15 years.I have always had 1500's, but now I have a 2007 Classic 2500HD diesel. I need to replace my fuel filter and it appears to do so, I have to remove the RH wheel well lining to get some swing on the filter wrench to loosen the fuel filter.Do I need any type of special tools to remove the fasteners in the wheel well panel? I have never had to remove one before.

ITS A PAIN,YES...

take the battery out...then you can get on it.

do not overtighten the sensor in the bottom...they'll strip and then leak...just snug.

overall..its a pita....
