Default fuel gauge troubleshooting assistance req.

greetings; 88 silv. 1500 fuel indicator shows full constantly other indicators operate normally . Question is how to trblst PRIOR to dismantling dash or gaining access to f/p float assembly ? Is there a plug connection between tank unit & dash indicator if so where would it be located? Any related info greatly appreciated . Many thanks happy holidays regards Butch

More than likely it's the sending unit. Prob gonna have to drop the tank, get in there and replace it. Mine has been bad for about 2 years now, but itreads right once I getbelow 1/2 tank, so I'm just letting it ride for now.
