In typical General Motors fashion and quirkiness, well I've noticed as an enthusiast, over the years, that it seems to be well only specific vehicles, for example Chevrolet/GMC trucks, S UV's, and vans, from the early/mid 90's, until 2000s, not so much in Chevrolet and GMC cars, may be a handful.. But you can pick one out at a stop light with the windows up, Across the parking lot, over the engine! Another quark that I've noticed, is when you shut the engine off on those vehicles, you can actually hear the pump run for about 2 and a 1/2 to 3 seconds.
