I've got a 2001 Silverado (4.3L - regular cab 2WD) - this morning, with cooler air - I was topping up the pressure in my tires. On the dash, there are 2 power ports as well as the cigarette lighter. I was plugged into the middle 12v plug - and on my 4th tire - it either blew a fuse, or overheated and was disabled.

The other 2 ports work, still. The left one still has 12v, and the cigarette lighter (right side) works fine. No juice to the middle port. I've put a meter to both sides of all the fuses in the under-hood fuse box (which has a fuse labeled for the cig-lighter) - and can't find any that are blown. None are labeled in the interior fuse box as being for the dash - but would one of those be the culprit?
