Default Gas Gauge

Has anyone run into this problem...where your gas gauge goes back and forth from E to F and everywhere in between???? I've noticed when I fill it full the gauge seems to be correct until it reaches about a 1/4 of a tank, then it starts to do its thing....help?

I am having the same problem after dropping the gas tank to replace everything. It has been a few days but it is SLOWLY going to "full". The first couple of days it would go to about one quarter of a tank and then as soon as you turned over the key it would go back to "E". I still haven't figured out the problem. I will let you know if I figure it out. I have heard that's a very common problem with Silverado.
