I need some help. I have a 2000 silverado Z-71
My gauges quit often, They come back on when I move the tilt wheel back and forth.
What can be wrong in the steering colum.
How hard is to remove steering wheel and will the air bag come out? and how do you remove the tilt lever?
Please respond with any suggestions

 

Sounds like the ignition switch...Removing the air bag is not easy...make sure you get some instructions on disabling the system before fiddling with it.the tilt thingy just pulls out.
