i am getting a 99 sierra this weekend and was wondering what a good exhaust would be as far as power goes and loudness also. i looked at borla but they are a little more expesive than i want to spend thanks.

 

Check out Gibson. They offer their systems in stainless steelas well as aluminized-which is cheaper. They have a variety of styles and offer a good sound.

 

Flowmasters are good. If u want loud and power just install a cutout right before the factory muffler. thats wut i did and i have a 99 sierra its pretty loud but not loud enough to make people mad. u can get a cutout at summit racing for like $25 or a flowmaster 40 off ebay for like $40-60

 

i have y pipe running out of the cats with no mufflers sounds great

 

Gibson, and Flowmaster make some mean sounding exhausts that wont let you down. As far as what not to buy, DO NOT buy the Summit racing brand cat back exhaust. I made that mistake, theyre too quiet, nothing fits right, nothing hangs where it should, and they dont come with tips.
