Default Grease won't pump into inner tie rod

Well I replaced the inner tie rod without much trouble. I think I might have stripped the last thread that the inner tie-rod goes into where the grease fitting is as well. I went to pump grease into that grease fitting and it just wouldn't pump in. I replaced the fitting with a brand new one and still no luck. I can pump grease into the driver side inner tie rod with ease but not the case with the passenger side.

Are there any suggestions to fix this? Do I need to take the tie rod off and do something to grease this thing up?

Whrere I work, our machines have more grease zerks than Carter had pills. I encounter this alot, however, not sure this may help.

1. Check the recess in the tie rod end for obstructions. i.e. dried grease, dirt

2. The ball detents on brand new grease zerks like to stick sometimes. Try working the ball with something pointy.

I gave up on trying to pump grease into the tie-rod, took the rubber boot off and packed it the old fashioned way
