Tire Sizes and Prices
Hello everyone I'm new to this forum so please bear with me. I just recently purchaced my 2005 GMC 2500HD 6.0 Vortec 4X4 ex-cab. I bought it for $6800 because it had 166,000miles and was equiped with the work package. I like this because it will be used for pulling my boat to the lake and I like the idea of being able to rinse it out when the kids get in all sandy from the beach. Anyway I had a couple questions about my truck. First the tires that came on it are LT285 60R20's. They rub a little when I turn and are very expensive to replace. Are there any other sizes that will fit this wheel that would be a little cheaper and maybe not rub as bad? Also are there anyproblems that I should be looking for in this model?

Well the fact that you have 20" rims doesn't help your tire prices however you could run some 265/75/20s which are more common and cheaper and would look fine. Another option would be to install a leveling kit or body lift and keep the tires you have.
