Default Headers Or 410 gear

Iown a 2007 Chevy Silverado 4.8, which headers would give me the most lowend tire spinning horsepower. I have already installed the superchips programmer, cold air intake, andflowmaster.I think this would be the next step. How hard are they to install?Or should I save my money for a 410 gear?

headers are easy to install. but watch out depending on your exhaust you may loose some low end power. 4.10 gears are gonna be a lot harder to install.

Ya, the 410 gearI would have to haveinstalled, but the cost is $800.00! IfI would lose lowend power with the headers the 410 gear sounds like the best power increase.

you should actually gain low end with headers, but the 410 gears will definately give you better takeoff. I would go with a reprogram 1st though.

What do you mean reprogram? The hand held superchips programer? The only option that is different is axle size.

A custom tune is the way to go. A handheld programmer is okay, but a custom tune is the ****. As far as headers go, get some PaceSetter longtubes.

Yeah that's what I meant a cutom PCM tune, not the hand held programmers.

You might also consider some Doug Thorley headers. I'm not sure if they make them for a 2007, but they're designed to maintain or increase bottom end torque with the Tri-Y design. Others, including Pacesetters will usually lose you a little low end torque but give better mid-top end.
