What's the difference in long tube and shorty headers?

 

The really short and sweet is shorties are not worth it for the silverado, no gain to a power loss. The exhaust shop in my area makes shorties and long tubes, most of them are put on vehicles that get dynoed often. The shorties only produced up to 5 additional hp in a vortec, they are now looking at lowering the price of the long tubes. Sorry it wasn't in depth but there will be people along that are header pro's

 

My shorties gave nice upper end power, but nothing lower. The longtube are supposed to be better for lower end and not as good for upper.
