Default Heater problems

I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado. The heater will only get hot while driving down the road, it doesn't get hot when the truck isn't moving. What might be causing this?

Does your temp gauge fluctuate while doing this?

No is doesn't, it works properly warming up slowly as the truck warms. Like I said, as long as I'm moving, no problem. I'm just hopeing it's something I can fix if I know what it is, I dread having to take it to the shop!

Keep a close watch on it. If it's not visibly leaking out, it may be getting in the oil. Your engine could be ruined pretty quickly. Good luck.
