Help 2002 Silverodo
 

I have a 2002 Silverodo HD, and there are two issues’ with it.
The first is the “CRUISE CONTROL “dose not work.
The second is that the “ TOW HAUL “ is not working as well.
If any one here can pass on some info on how to fix these problem
It would be of great help.

The Tow/Haul not working is common simply because the wire in the column will get cut from the manual gear selector. Look near the key cylinder and find an orange wire. You will find it cut by the gears. There is 2 wires inside the orange insulation. Connect them both and voila!

Cruise control has a bunch of different components that could caues it not to work. Many of the times it is a faulty brake light switch on the top of the brake pedal.. If it moves out of adjustment/alignment, the car/truck thinks that you are applying the brake and shuts off the cruise control. There is usually 2 switches there.

If it isnt them, then it could be a faulty cruise control module, a bad switch on the wheel or stalk, problems with the Powertrail Control Module, a shorted or broken wire anywhere in the system etc... hopefully it is just a blown fuse or a loose switch on the pedal- Good Luck
