Default HELP. Brake lites on 99 Suburban.

Hi, 99 Sub. blows fuse for the STOP lites when peddle is pressed. The flashers work fine until the fuse shorts out. Still blows after disconnecting the harness at the firewall. Even pulled the harness out from firewall back. RR switch under dash on the brake rode. Need to repair soon. What am I missing.
Thanks
Jim

I have changed the switch. Actual twice. Traced the wires to the fuse box all look very good. There has never been any trouble with this truck. All harness so far look brand new. I checked the front ABS harness also.
