2000. Fuses Ok. Bright light indicator won't stay on. All other lights (turn & brakes) work. Ckd DRL fuse-OK. I am not mechanically inclined.

What happens when you turn the dial on the dash?Is the e-brake light lit on the dash? Try pushing the button under the illumination dial on and off twice in rapid succesion. Still doesn't work? Someone else will have a suggestion soon.

 

Cracker, Thanks for the reply. Dial works lights fine, E-light comes on . Light goes out when brake released. Pushed all buttons as suggested. All interior lights work. Double ckd all exterior lights-cargo lamp, license plate, parking, turn signals, brake lights etc..
No headlights or fog lights.
Might get a witch doctor next.

 

Have you checked the bulbs?

 

All the lights work with the dial? Not automatically right? Might be the sensor.

 

Have you done any work under the hood or any hard off-roading? possibly the harness is loose @ the firewall. If you have a voltmeter, test the sockets first, then engine compartment fuses and relays, the interior conections. In other makes the relays are the culprit, in my experience.

 

Had a meter put on relays etc. All appears to be fine except the headlight & fog light relays are not grounding. Need to find schematic for light system. A friend thinks I might have had an unwanted visitor gnawing on a few wires. Heres hoping. Thanks to all of you. Will advise.
