I Have a 2003 4.8 4wd withe the 4L65E. I recently installing a new Transmission and i think i either broke or INstalled the Neutral safty switch wrong. I have brought a new unit and was wondering if anyone know the procedure for putting it in and adjusting. (does it have to be in Park or Neutral befor slidding the new unit onto the shifter shaft.

park is where it needs to be and adjustment is easy once you install it but it should be right on
