Help Me! My Butt is Saggin'
Got a personal problem. My butt is saggin'. On my truck of course.
I have a 2007 Silverado Classic 1500 4wd and the rear end sags when I pull my trailer. Also, the trailer is all over the place when I hit bumps. I had airbags in my previous truck but they made the ride totally harsh. Wifey hated it. Any ideas out there besides getting rid of Wifey?
Thanks.

Try to find some butt cushions for the wife!!. J/K Try and find some add a leafs. That should help with your problems. When you had your bags did you have the air pump with them? Maybe they were over inflated?? Other than that, putting load leveling tow hitch on the trailer might also help. I cannot think of exactly what they are called. Unless you havea fifth wheel or goose neck. then you will have to do something about that susp.

Any of these ideas will work. The roadmaster additions, the add-a-leaf systems work well too, they even have the "add-on" air bag systems that you can put on in addition to your stock shocks. The "add-a-leaf" (a good kit) will prevent sway when towing too. It's what I used on my 91'. I once had 1300 lbs of steel in the bed and a 1000 lbs trailer on a half ton truck without a problem. The suspension was fine but the brakes and tranny didn't like it so much.

The air bags work great. You just have to vary the pressure for the situation. I have the 5000 lb set on my 99 K2500. The only inconvenience is inflating/deflating if you choose not to get the onboard pump/gauge setup. I run 7-9 lbs empty and have never run more than 40 lbs even when hooked onto my 31 ft gooseneck. The bags are good up to 100psi but I`ll never need to add 5000 lb extra load capacity to my truck.

I installed a set of progressive springs on my 04 crewcab 4x and they work great. I pull a 20' car hauler with brakes and everythings good. This is the second truck I've installed the progressives on and have never had a problem.

Thanks for the responses. I really appreciate y'all trying to help me with this. Based on the experience I had with airbags and what people I know have told me about add a leafs and progressive springs I just haven't been able to find the increased load carrying I need in combo with a ride that is notstiff.
