I have recently purchased a 2003 GMC Sierra Z71
My problem is with the keyless door entry, whenever I press twice to unlock all doors the horn sounds twice. The doors do unlock but I would prefer the horn did not sound.
I have checked the manual but found nothing relevant to my issue.

Any ideas?

 

Well I dont know for sure but it sounds like maybe its supposed to do that. You know to tell you how many doors are unlocked........its a shot in the dark......I would call a dealer and ask if this is normal.

 

It's a function you can turn on and off via the sterring wheel contols, scroll through the options. You can select to have the lights blink, horn sound or both when locking and unlocking. There are functions for the memory seats, and power mirrors as well. It should all be in the owner's manual.

Unfortunately a manual did not convey when I bought the vehicle but I have since downloaded the PDF version.
