I was gonna clean my throttle body today but it started getting dark. Anybody know how to get the plastic piece right on top of the throttle off? I got all the hosing to the air box off, but couldn't figure out that last piece.

Also, is it safe to clean a vertical throttle body? The one on my truck looked like it was straight up and down from what I could see of it.

If your talking about the connection for the cruise control it pulls straight off. You can see how it is open on one side - push in the opposite direction of the opening. I have had some that were a bitch so I just unthreaded the 2 plastic pieces apart.
Personally I don't like getting all that crap in the motor so on the 4.3 I unbolt the throttle body and clean it off the motor. That also enables you to clean the back side much better.
