how do i flip my rear axle?

i have a 2000 gmc 2500 n i wana flip the rear axle to lower it. i need hepl so i know what im getting my self into.

"Flipping" the axle is not a good idea....all kinds of problem associated with that..........if you want to lower it use the right kit to do it

A flip kit will lower it from 5 to 6 inches. Then you would have to get lowering shocks and shorter bump stops. Some even have to c-notch the frame. You can get a 4 inch drop from just shackles and hangers and keep your stock ride.
